Death Row Records..

For any true fan of Hip-Hop you should know of Death Row. Founded by Suge Knight and was once home to Hip-Hop greats such as 2Pac, Dr Dre, and Snoop Dogg. Tha label was one of Hip-Hops most influential and biggest building blocks. Death Row created great music and much controversy. Dre had The Chronic, Snoop had Doggystyle, and Pac had All Eyez. Thats not even tha half of either. And those are 3 of tha top albums in history, and from one label. And now Death Row has pretty much fell off. No top artists, no hits, nothing. Death Row Records was sold for only $24 Million(the starting bid), which if you compare to their success is nothing. Tha winning bidder was Susan Berg. Since losing Pac, Snoop, and Dre Death Row has and seems it never will be tha same. After tha end of tha 90’s Death Row had some success, but slowing lost it. In 06 Suge and Death Row filed for bankruptcy and claimed to have only $11 in his bank account. This is a very sad thing in Hip-Hop. To me especially because Death Row is one of my favorite labels, if not tha favorite. 2Pac is one of my 3 favorite artists. This just goes to show how quick and easy power can fade..Death Row was once on tha top of this industry, and has now been sold away for a small $24 Million..
